Tsubame shinko

Tsubame Shinko Industrial is a manufacturer of metal cutlery in Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture.
Founded in 1919, the company began its business by manufacturing knives and became an integrated manufacturer of metal cutlery after the war. Its turning point came in the 1970s when Japan faced the “Nixon Shock” and the impacts of the strong yen. The company then started the development of roadside mirrors using stainless steel mirror polishing technology and has since expanded its business to road signs and graphic signs.
The company enjoys a worldwide reputation for its high-quality and beautifully designed products. Their products have received the Good Design Award and the German iF Design Award and are available at The Museum of Modern Art (MOMA), New York.
