Otani Pottery was established in 2008 as a studio for Tetsuya and Momoko Otani in Tashiro, Shigaraki-cho.
Tetsuya mainly produces white porcelain bowls and white clay pans, and Momoko paints plants on pots covered with white clay and transparent glaze on top.
