In 1992, Hirofumi Fujii started his own pottery studio in Seto City, Aichi Prefecture as “Doppoen”, and in 2002, he moved to his hometown Notojima-magari-machi. His wife Yukie Fujii, who had also started her own pottery business “Utobi” in 1997, joined her husband in Notojima-magari-machi.
