山本拓也さんの作る器は一見工業製品のようですが、ろくろと、石膏型を使う型打ちという技法を主に用いて制作しています。
ミニマルなデザインの中に、手仕事による微妙なラインとその時々で微妙に違う釉薬らしい表情が、人間味を感じる独自の世界を広げています。
