Trivet, Small Squares

“Trivet, small squares” designed in 1966 with emblems as a motif. Utilizing the highest casting techniques to arrange into a thin thickness causes the beauty of the casting surface to stand out, showing the strength of Yamagata casting in it’s thin beauty.
Although the shape looks novel, this Kakuyose is a trivet made in the shape of Mitsuyose Chigiri, one of Kibutumon Chigiri crest that has existed since ancient times. This ancient crest is boldly deformed and the pattern is arranged rhythmically. It is an excellent piece even from the viewpoint of modern graphic design.
